Introduction to the artist
For the initial part of his life Peter Blackler worked as an indentured carpenter and joiner, however an opportunity in 1997 presented a chance to study under the late master painter and scholar Robert Lenkiewicz who taught him many of the colour and composition techniques evident in his style today.
On completion he embarked on a career as a painter and now works from a home studio in Plymouth, Devon. As an artist he works mainly with oil to allow the richness, tone and vibrancy of the colours to be focal within his art. Inspired by historical connections and pioneering frontiers he undertakes project work as well as life portraiture and private and public commissions.
He is passionate about art and the way in which it can influence a person’s perception of life.
Fine Art Giclee Prints
Materials - All the materials use are acid free and archival.
Paper - Pinnacle fibre matte 300gsm. Modelled on the traditional fibre based material with ultra-smooth, silky surface and brilliant white colour. The surface has a special matte coating, designed for high quality fine art, offering vibrant colour and deep rich blacks.
Inks - Epson Ultrachrome K3. Has improved print permanence characteristics that provide lightfastness ratings of up to 108 years for color and over 200 years for black and white under rigorous industry accepted display conditions*. Epson UltraChrome K3 ink and Epson Genuine Media perform as a perfectly matched system that provides the industry's best combination of quality output and longevity enabling the display and sales of prints to the most demanding clients.
*Print permanence ratings based on accelerated testing of prints on specialty media, displayed indoors, under glass. Actual print stability will vary according to printer, media, printed image, display conditions, light intensity, humidity, and atmospheric conditions. Epson does not guarantee longevity of prints. For maximum print life, display all prints under glass or lamination or properly store them. Prints should be kept away from direct sunlight to avoid damage.
Certificate of Authenticity
Each print is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.

The copyright of all images on this site is owned exclusively by the artist throughout the world. Any use of an image without the artist’s consent is illegal.
Guarantee
Returns - We are confident that you will be pleased with your prints. If you are not completely satisfied please return the prints to us within 21 days in the original packaging for a full refund minus postage costs. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. Unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange if 21 days have past. Proof of purchase will be required for refunds.
Sale items (if applicable) - Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.
Exchanges (if applicable) - We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at peter.blackler@maherartworks.com and we will contact you.
Shipping - To return your product, please send us an email to peter.blackler@maherartworks.com and we will contact you.
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.
If you are shipping an item over £50, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

Framed prints are dispatched in dedicated frame transit packaging.
